Some of Munch's Recent Firsts

While the Mini is certainly experiencing more of the 'milestone' firsts, the Munch has hit a few big firsts of her own.  Here's a few that have happened since December...

Her first game of Twister:

She insisted on going in a straight line, but when it came time to put her right hand on the red...well, that kinda stumped her...

Her first love note, written entirely on her own, and of her own inclination:

It now holds a place of honor on our fridge.

Reading on her own...which is pretty awesome as a Mama to hear and watch, especially when you know that at least for a portion of the time, she's reading with enough fluency to also be able to understand what's happening in the story...and go into wild giggles over it:

Bedhead:

Not exactly a first, since she usually wakes up with pretty severe bed-head (because she rocks herself back and forth in her bed to go to sleep), but this one was more amazing than usual, so I snagged a picture of it.

As for other things she's done lately, let's see what I can find...

January
She got some tinkertoys for Christmas that she LOVES, and she's made many things with them.  She's also learning how to follow the instructions to make the suggested ideas that come with the set.

We made Wookie Cookies together for a friend's birthday.

February
Sisters having a good time on the floor together.  :D

Remember when we made those stick houses back in August?  She still uses hers... :)  I'm actually working on making a much, much larger house for her to use her playmobil in now.

March
Foamie stickers will keep her occupied for literally HOURS.

Coloring won't occupy her for quite as long, but she's starting to get more detailed and careful with it, and loves to do a little here and there.  We were given a coloring calendar for Christmas, so every month we have a new picture for her to color.
