Today I watched in amused dismay as my 20-month-old Mini carefully opened a cabinet door, looked at the baby-safe latch inside it, reached her hand in and pulled the hook down from the catch inside the top of the door frame. She then promptly opened the cabinet to try to get at the contents inside (baking sheets). I closed the door and distracted her with something else.
But, a few minutes later, as she went strollering through the kitchen with various items in said stroller, Daddy happened to step in front of her. He looked down at her and the stroller, then bent down to retrieve a (glass) bottle of all-spice she'd swiped from a drawer that used to be too high for her.
I've suspected it before, but now I know for certain...I'm in trouble...
